Why this might be changing...
Bottom Line Up Front
Personal reviews (daily, weekly, etc) are something I consider to be central to improving my productivity, time management, and results in many areas.
Improving the reviews themselves is another way to get more from the time I spend on these - and that’s what I’ve been doing recently.
Short intro, let’s just get into it.
Why The Change
Over time I’ve altered, added, and deleted from my various reviews:
daily
weekly
quarterly
annual
There’s nothing super important about that alone - these are living processes that should change over time.
As I talked about in the video below, I recently went back to Google Forms for answering my journaling questions from these various reviews. Why? Check out the video real quick - it’s set to start at exactly the point where I explain:
It’s a decent way to get my journal entries tracked so I can easily glean insights, but I really wanted something better.

Elevarly will be a one stop location for not only setting up and entering your daily, weekly, quarterly, and other reviews, but to also get insights based on those very entries. Don’t just toss your journal entries into the void, get actionable insights that can improve your productivity, career, and life. |
What’s Next
While I’m going to continue using Google Forms linked to from my Roam Research reviews, I want a longer term solution with more flexibility and power.
Hence Elevarly.
Ideally Elevarly will allow for choosing from a bank of questions to build your own reviews, or enter your custom journal prompts. Additionally, you’ll be able to select date ranges for reviews and get impartial (AI) insights to help you recognize patterns that you might miss, see areas for improvement, and more.
In the meantime, if don’t already have a daily or weekly review set up where you’re capturing your responses to pre-planned questions…sign up for early access to Elevarly here and perhaps set up a Google Form using the info from the video above!
Extra Extra
You and Your Mind Garden (highlights are my own) - Anne-Laure Le Cunff wrote an excellent article a few years ago that got me thinking more about tending my information sources, randomized resurfacing, and tending my own mind garden.
One quick question 👋
I love hearing from readers, and I’m always happy to hear feedback from active subscribers. How am I doing with the Productivity Academy newsletter? Is there any content you’d like to see more or less of? Which parts of the newsletter (or articles, or podcast) do you enjoy the most?
Hit reply and say hello, happy to hear from you!
